Jorge L. Cantero, is a Broker-Associate with EWM, Inc. Prior to his current affiliation, he was the Broker-owner of Apollo Group Realty, Inc., for over 15 years.
Professional Real Estate Experience: Real Estate Broker in New York from 1971 to 1982. He has been actively licensed in Florida since 1985. As a broker-owner, his company won a contract from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be the exclusive agent for the marketing, management and selling of government owned properties. He was also chosen by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to market and sell real estate assets from failed financial institutions. Jorge is a Real Estate instructor for the Florida and National Association of Realtors, as well as, the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA). Because Jorge’s high level of real estate experience and expertise, he has been asked to teach other real estate professionals throughout the United States and overseas, in Asia, The Caribbean, Europe and in North, Central and South America.
Additional Professional Experience: Jorge recently completed, in 2006, a Masters of Science in International Real Estate, at Florida International University (FIU). He also holds Bachelors and Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from City college of New York (CCNY) and New York University (NYU), respectively. Jorge worked as a chemical engineer in the pharmaceutical industry from 1968 to 1985. He work as a Junior engineer for New York City’s Traffic Department from 1963 to 1970.
